Fat Transfer continued...
Two or more sessions may be required. The procedure is done in the physician's office or surgery center depending on the volume to be transferred. Local anesthetics are employed but may require intravenous sedation.
You will notice some swelling and discoloration of the skin around the injection and donor sites which typically resolves over two to three weeks. Firmness of the treated area may persist for several weeks.
Viability of the transferred fat is possible and some long-term correction can be achieved.
